If our nearly eight years as designers has taught us anything, it’s how to use bold color.Â
Though we love a thoughtfully placed neutral, there’s something so inspiring about rooms that include vibrant colors. Perhaps it’s because they evoke a sense of risk and bravery, or maybe there’s something energizing about an unexpected pop of color.
Either way, we’ve grown quite fond of them in recent years, and in this blog post, we’re teaching you how to use them in your home.

FULL BOLD COLOR DRENCH
If you’ve already started to play around with color and want to take the jump, we recommend a slightly darker, moodier vibe using Inchyra Blue or Brinjal. We chose Brinjal for our study, and the warm-toned aubergine of this shade is one of our favorites. Inchyra Blue has been popping up all over our designs, from the full den drench at Carroll Jardin, to wainscoting at New Heights Reno. We’re gearing up to use it again at Boreum Hill Beauty in the Primary Suite, so stay tuned for that reveal!

POPS OF BOLD COLOR
If you’re not quite ready for a full-color drench, try pops here & there. Try painting the ceiling (if you go this route, make sure you have these extended rollers) to add intrigue, or add color through bright pillows, throws, artwork, or drapery!
