Our First Rug Collection

We are so excited to announce that we teamed up with NuStory to launch our first rug collection. The Gilded Collection draws inspiration from the intricate woodwork, ornate plaster detailing, and vintage charm found in historic homes, resulting in seven distinctive rug constructions that merge heritage with modern elegance.

The collection is now available for pre-order during NYCxDESIGN week. Learn more about all of the rugs in the collection below.

Parlor Floor Rug

The Parlor Rug pays homage to the intricate fretwork found in historic Brooklyn brownstones. Hand crafted from premium Sardinian wool with delicate carving that highlights architectural motifs, this hand loomed rug is designed for special spaces. It is made in a curated vintage paint-inspired palette— with options in Jade, Brick, Ochre, and Ivory. Designed to bridge past and present, the Parlor Rug brings timeless elegance and rich history to homes today.

Hand Tufted Speakeasy Rug

The Speakeasy Rug offers an elevated and inspired twist on a solid bordered rug. Designed to echo the craftsmanship of intricate wood detailing, this hand tufted Sardinian wool rug features a striking geometric border that nods to the inlay flooring found in traditional brownstones. The Gabbeh dye technique enhances the rug’s depth and texture, creating a rich, timeworn appeal. Available in Burgundy and Natural, the Speakeasy Rug brings a sense of heritage and sophistication to key living spaces, blending old-world charm with modern sensibility.

Hand Knotted Study Rug

The Study Rug is inspired by the intricate wood carvings found on the doors of 19th century homes. Its geometric motifs mirror the refined paneling and ornamentation that have made brownstones so coveted for centuries. Hand knotted from wool and carefully sheered down for a soft, vintage finish and low pile, the Study Rug is perfect for offices, dining rooms, and special living spaces. Available in a muted palette of Juniper and Grey, the Study Rug bridges both traditional and modern interiors.

Hand Loomed Lounge Rug

NuStory’s Lounge Rug takes inspiration from the Art Nouveau movement and the ornate vintage wallpapers that once adorned the grand salons of NYC’s historic brownstones. Handloomed in Gabbeh-dyed Sardinian wool, this rug captures the rich patterns and layered textures of classic interiors, reinterpreted for modern living. Its ivory and navy colorways, accented with tasteful pops of color, bring depth and visual intrigue to evoke a sense of nostalgia and sophistication.

Hand Tufted Foyer Runner

Crafted from tufted Sardinian wool using the Gabbeh dye technique, The Foyer Rug is inspired by vintage woodwork and designed to bring warmth and architectural elegance to transitional spaces – like entryways and hallways. Available exclusively in a 2’6” x 8’ runner size, it is a true statement piece for the often under-decorated spaces.

Hand Knotted Tea Room Rug

The Tea Room Rug was developed from the ornate decorative molding found on ceilings and around vintage light fixtures. Hand knotted from handspun wool, this rug features a high-low texture with a raised cut-pile pattern, echoing the intricate relief work of historic plaster detailing. Its timeless design brings a sense of refinement and heritage, making it a perfect foundation for elegant social spaces.

Flatweave Bodega Rug

Drawing from the instantly recognizable design of NYC’s classic bodega coffee cup, this rug is a tribute to New Yorkers and the common experiences we know and share. Handwoven from recycled PET,  this flatweave rug offers a durable, sustainable option that is suitable for both indoor and outdoor spaces. With its striking geometric design and vibrant contrast, the Bodega Rug makes a statement while maintaining versatility and everyday functionality.
