Originally built in the 1890s, this Italianate brownstone in Boerum Hill was thoughtfully restored and reimagined for modern family living while honoring its historic character. Our full renovation included structural stabilization, meticulous restoration of the home’s original plasterwork, moldings, and iconic curved staircase, along with a complete redesign of the interior layout.
We transformed the residence into a spacious triplex with a separate garden apartment, opening the once-enclosed kitchen to become the heart of the home and introducing subtle architectural interventions that improve light, flow, and functionality. Layered with timeless materials, custom millwork, vintage furnishings, and modern amenities, the home feels both rooted in history and designed for everyday life—a true reflection of our belief that the best restorations preserve the past while creating space for new memories.
